The first Acid Bed gets its blueberry mix now, while the fourth shell stays protected for its planned fall 2027 opening.

• Broadfork beneath the Acid Bed, then fill it with pine bark fines, peat, and compost using the shopping list and what soil to buy.
• Do not add lime to the blueberry mix; blueberries prefer acidic soil.
• Target pH 4.5–5.5 and water once to settle the fresh mix.
• Confirm Acid Bed #2 remains an empty cedar shell parked under cardboard and wood chips. In fall 2027, add about 2.7 cubic yards of acid mix, 2–3 more rabbiteye blueberries, and a strawberry edge.

After the Building Line answer, HOA approval, visible 811 marks, and completed yard leveling, careful footings make next week’s assembly much easier.

• Before pouring anything, confirm in writing whether the plat’s 10-ft rear Building Line applies to this open-air pergola; also confirm HOA approval, visible 811 utility markings, and completed professional leveling. The plat’s 16-ft utility easement is at the front of the lot, not the back.
